Growing up, my parents were always into having a fancy house. Even our smallest home looked amazingly plush with leather furniture and chandeliers. I guess it was nice (everyone said so), but I have to admit I really wasn't into it. I remember my first apartment, I had a mattress on the floor and some plastic crates that I sat on and I felt perfectly content. I have a full house of furniture now, but it is quite basic. Everytime my parents are here they start giving me decorating tips. I politely listen, but I like things the way they are.
