Most of you know that I have Lupus. Well, my doctor has started me on a medication called methotrexate. It is a low dose chemo and trust me, when I take it once a week, it really sucks. It makes me feel like I have a terrible and slightly weird flu. I ache all over and feel anxious so it hard to sleep. It takes two days to get back to feeling normal. I will admit that once I feel normal, I actually feel a lot better than I used to.
The real problem I see right now is that it is wreaking havoc on my skin and hair. Everything seems so dry. I'm using mega conditions for my hair (though it doesn't seem to be helping) and some really good skin care products which do seem to be helpling a little. The sad thing is I look in the mirror and it is like I am watching myself age at an accelerated rate. Sure hope these products start working.
