When I was young I used to scoff at a company offering me disability insurance. I just couldn't see it paying off. Well, now 40 years later, it is starting to look like something I should have gotten on my latest job. I was diagnosed with Lupus and for the first two years, while I whined a lot, I was actually doing okay at work. Now, when I get a flare up it is almost impossible for me to work. First of all, my joints flare up and then the worst part is that my eyes blur out on me. I have to get someone to drvie for me. Recently it has become much more difficult for me to work. My doctor says I should apply for SSDI. I'm thinking abou it but I hear it is really hard to get. A coworker of mine wrote down the name of a place called Allsup and said I should give them a call. I think I will do that.
