Why does Christmas always mean spending more (after Christmas)

I love getting Christmas presents, but I swear as the years have gone by it means buying more stuff after Christmas. You know what I mean....I got a new digital camera and I need to buy memory for it. I also received a new portable tv, which means I now need to go look at tv stands. I also got an expresso machine so I need to go get some good, fresh ground coffee. It never ends!
