Don't get sucked into the latest investment scam.....domain names. I'm giving this warning because it is so easy for the average person to do this because it can be so cheap. You go to one of the domain name sellers/hosts and you can buy a domain name for $9.98...cheap enough and then once you start getting it all set up...you start thinking...hmmm....this is a cool name...wonder if its taken... You do a search and its available, so you buy it. Everytime you go to your domain control panel you think of another name to look up. Whenever you type one in that's available you get so excited if you fiind it available that you buy it thinking, well I'm sure I'll be able to make money on it at resale... Its a really addictive thing. Before you know it you own a hundred names (and blew $900) none of which you can get rid of at the price you paid much less make a profit. If you go to the sites that sell these names, you get even more excited as you list them until you realize there are nine million names for sale at that moment. Ah...but your's are great names so you list them for ninety days. 80 days later you haven't heard a word from anyone and you go into your account to see that you have not even had one hit. While some people do get lucky such as the domain owner of Vodka.com who got $3million on Sedo for that domain...it is not likely to happen to you!
