BACK TO PRESENT INT. LINDA'S LOUNGE - AFTERNOON Linda is leaned back on the settee in lounge, dozing. She opens her eyes. She looks at Tarbra who is laying at her feet. Tarbra jumps up excitedly on Linda's lap. Linda pets and ruffles Tarbra's hair. LINDA (lovingly) Yes, your beautiful aren't you? Just like my Trixie was. Linda's eyes fill with tears. LINDA (continuing) You're just like her, so pretty. Border Collies are the prettiest dogs in the wold. Yes they are...their beautiful. So loving and faithful...the best doggies in the world! Tarbra looks at Linda as if she understands every word Linda is saying. Tarbra licks her across the cheek. LINDA (continuing) Yes, I love you, your mummy's baby, aren't you? Tarbra jumps down, wagging her tail and running back and forth to the front door and back, giving an odd bark as she does so. Linda smiles at her and gets up from the settee. LINDA (continuing) Okay, walkies it is then. Linda and Tarbra go out of the front door together. Tarbra nearly knocks Linda over, behaving excitedly as they go.
