I have given it much thought and when I die, I’ve decided I want to be cremated. You know, it seems like the ecologically correct thing to do.I’ve heard there is a shortage of burial plots. It’s also less expensive.I figure this is of the utmost importance since my remaining family members may have a few of my credit cards to pay off.My biggest reason though, is that I have also let my children (who are grown and on their own) know that I want my ashes to be put in a beautiful Baccarat vase and kept on someone’s mantel.I don’t want to be buried in a plot and then forgotten about.I want at least one of my son’s to get up every morning and have to walk by me to get their coffee. Is that cold? When my one son first heard of my wish, he responded with a “Great…no flowers needed.”Whoa…wait a minute….funeral flowersare the most important flowers we will ever get. It’s the final flowers…the last goodbye.I told him in no uncertain terms, there had better be flowers, even if they are just spread around to family and friends.I want each arrangement to be perfect.Beautiful and bright, no brown spots and they had better be really nice and on time for the memorial service. Is this too much for a mother to ask????
